Dustin Johnson

Dustin was born and raised in Red Oak, IA. After graduating from Red Oak High School and moving to Omaha, NE to attend Creighton University, his summer job as a bartender would lead him to a career in hospitality. After nearly a decade in the food and beverage industry, the birth of his first child led Dustin to hang up his chef’s coat and become a stay-at-home father, an experience he says is “the hardest job that I have ever had, but by far the most rewarding.”

Dustin began his career in financial services in 2011 with WoodmenLife, where he focused on life insurance and annuity-based retirement planning. During this time he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Analysis and Management from Bellevue University.

In 2016, Dustin joined the Tagge Rutherford team, choosing to grow his practice by focusing on the individual client’s needs and assisting them in setting realistic and attainable goals.  Dustin enjoys professional education, networking, and building his practice through referrals from family, friends, and clients.

In his free time, Dustin’s favorite hobbies consist of tinkering in his garage, DIY projects, and most importantly, spending quality family time with his wife, Kristie, and their 2 children, Payton and Wesley.
